Who We Are

Free Prisoners of Conscience is a platform founded by a group of journalists, businessmen, civil society representatives, and activists to be a voice for all prisoners of conscience in Turkey. We are committed to raising awareness on human rights violations, social and legal injustices, supporting initiatives and grassroots organizations with an ultimate goal to free prisoners of conscience in the country.

Who Are Prisoners of Conscience?

Prisoners of conscience are persons imprisoned for the peaceful expression of their political, religious, or other conscientiously held beliefs, or for their identity, even though they have neither used nor advocated violence.

Our Vision

Free Prisoners of Conscience envisions a peaceful society that promotes and protects democratic values, rule of law, and fundamental human rights for all people from diverse religious, ethnic, cultural, and political backgrounds. We eiterates the principle of presumption of innocence that a person is considered innocent unless proven guilty.

Our Mission

Free Prisoners of Conscience in Turkey (FPC) is an independent advocacy platform that is committed to raising awareness on human rights violations, social and legal injustices, supporting initiatives and grassroots organizations with an ultimate goal to free prisoners of conscience from prisons in Turkey.
